The Marines Corps teaches you to to improvise, adapt, and overcome in order to succeed. This is not only applicable while serving in the military, but useful in all aspects of life. Life is not supposed to be easy. We are supposed to work hard for the things we love and believe in.

I believe Alaska to be one of the greatest places on earth where thousands of people have found refuge in this rugged land of opportunity.

I am Christian conservative who believes many of today's problems can be resolved through common sense solutions from public officials with no alternative motives.

Alaska's Permanent Fund is protected by Scott Clayton

Permanent Fund

Alaska's PFD should be in the hands of the people of Alaska

I believe we should restore the whole PFD.

Representing Alaska means more than merely hoping to serve your best interest; to me, it means actually putting your best interest first. I trust in each Alaskan's ability to make their own decision with oil royalties that are rightfully theirs to begin with. It is unjust for public officials to redirect any part of the permanent fund without first being approved by the people of Alaska.

Alaska will be best served by Scott Clayton who is a true conservative

Alaska's Resources

Scott Clayton supports using Alaska's resources

I believe in maximizing the responsible development of Alaska's resources.

Unlike many states of our union, Alaska has been blessed with an abundance of diverse resources. Rather than establishing a responsible system of development to fund our state government, our Alaskan legislature has considered introducing a state tax to supplement their excessive spending. I oppose using Alaskans to finance additional government programs and increasing the size of our state government. I will do all I can to find ways to safely and responsibly utilize Alaska's rich resources.

Scott Clayton Marine will protect Alaska's Gun Rights

The 2nd Amendment

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I believe in the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

We trust our military and law enforcement to be there for us in times of need and we expect our government to protect our constitutional rights and defend us from foreign enemies. The right to possess firearms was designed for more than just hunting or home defense, but rather, to prevent overreach from foreign and domestic tyranny. I believe part of the power of America derives from its citizen's ability to defend themselves against adversaries and oppression.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (The 2nd Amendment—December 15, 1791)

Education

Scott Clayton taught school in Mat-Su Borough School District

Parents must always maintain control over their child's education.

We put an immense amount of trust in the hands of our educators when we send our children to public school. It is time to make education a top priority in Alaska, confront low reading proficiency, and give parents more freedom of school choice.

Scott Clayton is Pro Life and will stand up against killing the unborn

Sanctity of Life

Scott Clayton believes life is precious

I believe life is a precious gift from God.

Biology has no political motive nor does it pray upon select groups of people, it simply responds to individual choices we make. I oppose abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or to protect the life of the mother, and will do all that is in my power to protect the unborn and prevent taxpayer funding for abortion.

Protect our men and women in blue

Public Saftey

Vote Scott Clayton for law and order

I support law and order

No civilization can thrive without law and order. We have witnessed police departments across the country being demonized for simply upholding the law. I will do all that is in my power to ensure that our first responders have all the resources they need to effectively do their job.

Our Veterans

Vote Scott Clayton to fight for our veterans

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Much can be said of our service members, but I believe more should be done to ensure they receive the care they deserve. Whether or not they weathered the storm of combat or stood ready and willing to face any conflict that arose, they deserve our upmost respect. We must consistently work to improve Veterans Administration to best serve those who first served us.
